Tomas Cohen Arazi d576f887c1 Bug 26555: Add ->messages and ->add_message to Koha::Object
This patch adds a way to make Koha::Object-derived classes to carry
messages around. This targets non-fatal errors, or around action flags
for the caller, to avoid complex exception handling on the controllers when
it is not expected to be fatal.

To test:
1. Apply this patchset
2. Run:
   $ kshell
  k$ prove t/db_dependent/Koha/Object.t
=> SUCCESS: Tests pass!

Jonathan Druart f4f3c8f18b Bug 25638: Fix regression
Now that float/decimal columns are not treated similar to integer ones,
the default value handling we had set for numeric values is not trapping
the float/decimal cases as it should.

We love tests!

The previous fix from bug 25513 does not work in all versions we are

Let's hack the float/decimal columns in the same way we did for integer.

Jonathan Druart a79cf4150e Bug 25513: Remove unneeded integer casting in Koha::Object->TO_JSON
This patch removes a problematic integer casting happening in TO_JSON.
The original need for this cast (a DBD::mysql bug) is now fixed. We
remove the cast as it is causing random failures.

To test:
1. Apply the regression tests
2. Run:
   $ kshell
  k$ prove t/db_dependent/api/v1/acquisitions_orders.t
=> FAIL: Tests fail with select high values (i.e. casting gives wrong
        results)
3. Apply this patch

Bug 25044: Remove the need to define koha_object[s]_class for standard object class names
In Koha::Object[s]->prefetch_whitelist, there is a call to the koha_object[s]_class DBIC resultset class. We should not, otherwise those 2 methods will have to be defined all the time, even when we can guess it easily.

Koha::Item <> Schema::Result::Item => standard
Koha::Acquisition::Order <> Schema::Result::Aqorder => non-standard

sub _get_object_class {
    my ( $type ) = @_;
    return unless $type;

    if( $type->can('koha_object_class') ) {
        return $type->koha_object_class;
    }

}

Bug 23463: (follow-up 3) Fix timestamp default value
This is the only situation I found where:
 * t/db_dependent/Koha/Item.t is passing
 * t/db_dependent/Koha/Object.t is passing
 * MySQL 8 is happy (and not fail with "Column 'timestamp' cannot be null"), which is certainly what I missed in the previous follow-up

About the change to Object.t: the next store was called without the
generated timestamp, so it is needed to call discard_changes.

Bug 23463: Use new method Koha::Object->set_or_blank
This patch fixes an issue when editing items.

* The issue
Cannot blank a subfield when editing an item.
If you have an item with itemcallnumber=42, then edit it, blank it and
save. The itemcallnumber is still 42

* Why? (line numbers from https://gitlab.com/joubu/Koha/-/tree/bug_23463)
additem (and other item's edition forms) receives a list of tags,
subfields and values, generates a MARC::Record::XML then calls
ModItemFromMarc:

717     my $itemtosave=MARC::Record::new_from_xml($xml, 'UTF-8');
727         my $newitem = ModItemFromMarc($itemtosave, $biblionumber,
$itemnumber);

And ModItemFromMarc:
 282     my $item = TransformMarcToKoha( $localitemmarc,
$frameworkcode, 'items' );
 283     $item->{cn_source} = delete $item->{'items.cn_source'}; #
Because of C4::Biblio::_disambiguate
 284     $item_object->set($item);

ModItemFromMarc never knows that the field has been blank.
Prior to bug 23463 we had a map of default values, and ModItemFromMarc
was doing:
 426     my $item = TransformMarcToKoha( $localitemmarc,
$frameworkcode, 'items' );
 427     my $default_values = _build_default_values_for_mod_marc();
 428     foreach my $item_field ( keys %$default_values ) {
 429         $item->{$item_field} = $default_values->{$item_field}
 430           unless exists $item->{$item_field};
 431     }

I do not want to reinsert that list of default values.

Here I wrote a generic method in Koha::Object to set the value passed in parameter,
or "blank" if not passed.
It's nulled if can be set to null in DB, or the default value is retrieved from
the schema info.

Bug 23463: (follow-up) Fix timestamp default value
For discussion, this patch revert the changes made previously.

This line exists in Koha::Item->store as it is the translation of:
    if (exists $item->{'timestamp'}) {
        delete $item->{'timestamp'};
    }
that was coming from _do_column_fixes_for_mod (called from ModItem)

To preserve existing behavior I would be in favor of keeping it like that to
avoid regression, and deal with it separately if we want to improve/remove it.

So basically here we are setting it to undef in Koha::Item->store to make it
handle correctly by the parent Koha::Object->store. I agree that's kind of weird
and must be improved.

Bug 24788: Remove autoloaded column accessors in Koha::Object->store
Columns are accessed as methods, relying on AUTOLOAD, in
Koha::Object->store. This could be a source of strange bugs
if a column name clashes with an existing method name.

To test:

2) Follow the testing instructions, when saving a new marc rule and
error is thrown.
3) Apply patch

Bug 24528: Add *_count support to to_api
This patch adds a way to tell to_api an attribute needs to be calculated
as the count on an existing method/relationship result. For example, if
we wanted to include the holds_count attribute for a Koha::Patron
object, we would call it:

    $ patron_json = $patron->to_api({ embed => { holds_count => { is_count => 1 } } });

This way to_api will internally call

Bug 23893: Special care for booleans
This patch acknowledges the fact that in D8 the Mojo::JSON->true and
Mojo::JSON->false values don't translate into integers when passed to

deprecated Jessie. This is adding back this translation, in the right
place now that all mappings code has been integrated into

Bug 24228: Make ->to_api params a hashref
This patch makes the parameters for Koha::Object(s)->to_api a hashref
preparing the ground for new parameters. The proposed syntax is:

$object->to_api(
    {
        embed => {
            'items' => {
                'children' => {

                }
            }
        }
    }
);

Tests are added for the Koha::Objects implementation and tests for

result accessor is added as well.

Jonathan Druart abb51797d8 Bug 21610: Fix integers and dates values at Koha::Object->store level
With strict SQL modes, we are facing several issues when objects are stored.

The following errors can be raised by DBIx::Class when an object does not have
a valid (as defined at DB level) value:
- Incorrect integer value: '' for column COLUMN
- Incorrect decimal value: '' for column COLUMN
- Column 'COLUMN' cannot be null
- Field 'COLUMN' doesn't have a default value
- Incorrect date value: '' for column 'COLUMN'

We already handled some of them for Koha::Patron. As we do not want to provide such
changes for all Koha::* modules we are going to fix this at Koha::Object->store level
in order to provide a global fix.

This is related to bug 21599 (for item types) and bug 21596 (for patrons)

Test plan:
- Apply first patch, run the tests
=> Patch fail because of the previous error in Koha::ItemType->store, to make them pass
you can replace
  $self->notforloan(0) unless $self->notforloan;
with
  $self->notforloan(undef) unless $self->notforloan;
- Apply second patch, run the tests
=> They fail because of dates and/or integers values
- Apply third patch, run the tests
=> They now pass

Deep code review wanted!

Tomas Cohen Arazi 659253eef1 Bug 22051: Make Koha::Object->store translate incorrect value exceptions
This patch adds a new condition to Koha::Object->store so it catches
incorrect value-related DBIC exceptions.

This DBIC exceptions get now translated into
Koha::Exceptions::Object::BadValue exceptions with relevant parameters
passed.

To test:
- Apply the exception and unit tests patches
- Run:
  $ kshell
 k$ prove t/db_dependent/Koha/Object.t
=> FAIL: Tests fail because this exception handling code is not
implemented
- Apply this patch

Jonathan Druart 5486670aca Bug 20767: Display a stack trace when a method is not covered by tests
When a method is not allowed yet (not covered by tests), developers get
an error the is not really useful: "The method XXX is not covered by
tests!"
It would be more useful to have a stack trace in order to know where
this error come from.

Test plan:
Modify some code to display this stack trace and confirm it makes sense
to have it, i.e. it will make debug easier

Marcel de Rooy 38132cabbb Bug 18725: (QA follow-up) Use make_column_dirty instead of status change
Moving the status to the invalid 'processing' might well have unwanted
side-effects. (The status column will be set to empty string and we have
a problem if it is not processed.)

This patch allows pass-through of DBIX's make_column_dirty in
Koha::Object (simple tests included) and uses it to force an update.
If the update does not return true, it still exits.

Test plan:
[1] Read the changes.
[2] Run t/db_dependent/Koha/Object.t

Jonathan Druart b5bbda68fa Bug 19926: Add the Koha::Object->unblessed_all_relateds method
In order to refactor our legacy code step-by-step, we will need to
provide code with the exact same behaviors and then improve it.

The same idea appears for the TT syntax for notices: we will want to
deprecate the existing syntax in order to support only one syntax.
Currently we fetch all the values from the related tables, without
knowing which are actually used.

I am suggestion to introduce a Koha::Object->unblessed_all_relateds
method which will return a hash containing all the fields from the
related tables (with the problems we know: collision in column names).
It is the existing behavior of GetOverduesForPatron and GetPendingIssues
for instance, they are used to send notices and so we have to provide
all the data needed.

See dependent bugs to understand the context and test this patch.
