This patch adds the preference "OPACOverDrive" to control whether
OverDrive features are shown in the OPAC. This allows a library to
disable OverDrive features without having to remove one or more of their
OverDrive credentials.
The patch also adds a check for the OPACOverDrive preference in the
OverDrive search results page. If OverDrive is disabled, navigating to
that page should give a 404.
To test you will need OverDrive credentials to test with.
- Apply the patch and run updatedatabase.
- If you already had data in the OverDriveLibraryID,
OverDriveClientKey, and OverDriveClientSecret system preferences,
the OPACOverDrive preference will be enabled when added. If not it
will be disabled by default.
- Rebuild the staff interface CSS
(https://wiki.koha-community.org/wiki/Working_with_SCSS_in_the_OPAC_and_staff_interface)
- Go to Administration -> System preferences -> Enhanced content ->
OverDrive.
- If necessary, enter valid credentials in the OverDriveLibraryID,
OverDriveClientKey, and OverDriveClientSecret system preferences.
- Set OPACOverDrive to "Don't enable."
- In the OPAC perform a catalog search. Normally, if your credentials
were correct OverDrive search results would automatically appear at
the top of Koha's search results. Now there should be none.
- Enable the OPACOverDrive preference and repeat your search. Now
OverDrive results should appear.
- Confirm that the OverDrive search results page works correctly.
- Test that OverDrive circulation features are working by logging in to
the OPAC as a user who has active OverDrive checkouts.
- Enable the OPACOverDrive and OverDriveCirculation system preferences.
- On the user's summary page there should be a tab for "OverDrive
account."
- The tab should not appear if either OPACOverDrive or
OverDriveCirculation is disabled.

This patch adds a new field 'preferred_name' to the patron record.
On storage (creation or update) the preferred_name is set to the firstname if no
value is passed. Patron modifications will set the preferred name to the firstname if
the preferred_name field is hidden
With this patchset preferred_name will always be set - either to the firstname, or a specified value.
PatronAutoComplete/ysearch is updated to use 'preferred_name'
To test:
1 - Apply patches
2 - Update database and restart all, clear browser cache
3 - Load a patron in staff module
4 - Confirm you see and can add a preferred name
5 - Confirm the preferred name and first name now displays on patron details
6 - Remove first name from patron record and confirm it no longer shows
7 - Edit sysprefs BorrowerMandatoryFields and BorrowerUnwantedFields to confirm you can make
new field required or hidden
8 - Sign in as patron to opac
9 - Confirm preferred name shows
10 - Edit account on opac and confirm field is present
11 - Verify DefaultPatronSearchFields contains 'preferredname' if your pref had firstname
12 - Perform checkout and patron search using preferred_name, confirm patron is found
13 - Enable PatronAutoComplete system preference
14 - Type patron's surname into Checkout or patron search but don't hit enter
15 - Confirm patron is displayed with 'preferred_name' in the preview
16 - Set 'preferred_name' in all 'Unwanted' preferences
17 - Confirm editing a patron in staff interface sets both fields when firstname updated
18 - Confirm a patron modification sets both fields when firstname updated
19 - Create a patron / perform self registration and confirm both fields set when preferred_name is hidden
20 - Remove preferred_name from Unwanted prefs and confirm preferred_name is set to firstname if nothing passed

Koha::Biblio->metadata_record directly where appropriate. The
exceptions are where we don't require any filtering or the filtering

To pass xt/find-missing-op-in-forms.t after bug 37728 updates it to notice
that there can be more than one form in a template, opac-password-recovery.tt
needs to have a param named 'op' which starts with 'cud-' for the form that
POSTs the new password.
Luckily, testing this doesn't require that you set Koha up to actually send
email (though you can), because you can get the link to reset the password
by looking at the list of notices sent to the patron in the staff interface:
the failure to send notice works just fine.
Test plan:
1. There's no behavior change to test, you just need to see that resetting
the password still works, so start with the patch applied.
2. Administration - System preferences - change OpacResetPassword to allowed
3. Set a patron so you can use them, which requires that you know the
username, and they have an email address. I give Acosta, Edna one of
my email addresses, and copy her cardnumber.
4. Open the OPAC, and below the login form click the "Forgot your password?"
link
5. Enter the cardnumber for Login and the email you used for Email and
click Submit. If you didn't set up sending email, you'll get an error
message, but ignore it, not a problem
6. Back in the staff interface, check out to the patron you are using, and
on the left sidebar choose Notices and find the Koha password recovery
notice and click that linked phrase
7. In the popup with the notice text, open the recovery link in a new tab
8. Following the instructions for the content of a new password, enter one
in both fields and click Submit
9 In the success message, click the link to Log in to your account and
log in with the new password

This patch updates a batch of OPAC templates so that title tags can
be more easily translated. Some templates have been updated for
consistency as well: Harmonizing page title, breaddrumb navigation, and
page headers.
To test, apply the patch and confirm that the following pages have
correct title tags:
- Log in to the OPAC by navigating directly to a user page like
/cgi-bin/koha/opac-user.pl
- From your user summary page, click "Charges."
- Check the advanced search page.
- Search for a bibliographic record and view the details, and then click
"MARC view" and "ISBD view."
- From this page click "Save to your lists" and check the title in the
popup window."
- Still on a detail page, click "Add to your cart." Open the cart and
check that page.
- Go to authority search (must have OpacAuthorities enabled).
- Perform an authority search which will return results.
- View the detail page for one of the results, and check the MARC view
as well.
- With UseCourseReserves enabled, view the course reserves page, then
the course reserve detail page.
- Search for a subscription which has patron notification enabled.
- View the detail page, then open the "Subscriptions" tab. Click "More
details."
- On this page you should see a "Subscribe to email notification"
button. Click it to open the subscription page.
- Check both /cgi-bin/koha/opac-browse.pl and
/cgi-bin/koha/opac-browser.pl. Whether or not the features are enabled
you should be able to check the title.
- Check /cgi-bin/koha/ilsdi.pl as well as one or more views linked to on
that page.
- Navigate to a page in the OPAC which doesn't exist to test the error
page template.
- Go to Administration -> System preferences and enable the
OpacMaintenance preference.

This patch updates the OPAC bibliographic detail page so that in the
holdings table, the following columns are hidden if they contain no
data: Call number, date due, materials, checkouts, barcode,
and item-level holds.

- In the staff interface, go to Administration -> System preferences.
- Search for OPACShowHoldQueueDetails and set it to "Show holds and

- Search for OPACShowHoldQueueDetails and set it to "Show holds and
their priority level."
- In the OPAC, locate a bibliographic record with multiple items.
- View the detail page and confirm that the holdings table doesn't show
these columns if there is no data in any of the rows: Call number,
date due, materials, barcode, and item-level holds
- For each of the affected fields, update the record the record so that
there is data to be shown for at least one of the items:
- Edit an item to add: call number, materials specified, barcode
- Check out an item to someone in order to show the date due column
- Place an item-level hold on one of the items to show the item holds
column.
- Go to Administration -> Table settings -> OPAC -> biblio-detail and
configure some columns to be hidden by default. Confirm that your
changes are correctly shown in the OPAC holdings table.

These cumalation of patches introduce a new patron page on the OPAC: "My virtual card." This page and its contents are reliant on the system preferences 'OPACVirtualCard' and 'OPACVirtualCardBarcode'. OPACVirutalCard determines whether the virtual card page is even displayed on the OPAC whereas OPACVirtualCardBarcode selects the type of barcode to display on this page (if page is displayed). Currently, the virtual card page consits of a patron image (if available), the patron's barcode, and the library name. A potential follow up would be to allow customization of this page. The barcode generation is handled by a new library bwip-js.
To test:
1) Apply patch, updatedatabase, restart_all, build yarn
2) In system preferences, search for 'OPACVirtualCard'. Both this and the barcode sys. pref should show up with the same search. Notice they are dependent on one another. The default for the first pref should be "Don't allow". Leave this as is for now.
3) Leave the preference page open and log into the OPAC. Visit the user page. Notice that the navbar on the left consiting of 'Summary', 'Charges', etc. looks the same.
4) Go back to the sys. pref page and set the OPACVirtualCard to "Allow"
5) Also in the sys. prefs, make a search for "patron images" and set 'OPACpatronimages' to "Show" and 'patronimages' to allow.
6) Visit the patron's page that you used to sign in to the OPAC. Add a patron image if there is not one already.
7) Now, edit their details and change their card number to '00012345678905'
8) Venture back to the OPAC patron page. Refresh this and you should see a new "My Virtual Card" page at the bottom.
9) Click this page and you should see a new virtual card for you patron, consiting of their image, a barcode, and their library.
10) Open the dev tools for your browser and switch to vieiwing in mobile mode. Make sure the card looks good. This would likely be the most common use case.
11) Switch back to a system preference page and try playing around with the 'OPACVirtualCardBarcode'. Note that these changes affect the type of barcode that is display in the virtual card page. If you selected a barcode format that is incompatible, an error message should display in the virtual card page.

Bug 37370 added an allow-list of formats for exporting in the OPAC. But
it missed the fact there was a modal for choosing DublinCore subtypes
when Dublin Core is chosen in the first place.
This patch fixes this.
To test:
1. On a fresh KTD, make sure `OpacExportOptions` has all options enabled
2. Go to the OPAC and pick a record detail page
3. Choose Save record > Bibtex
=> SUCCESS: The save dialog for bibtext works
4. Repeat for DublinCore, choose any of the sub formats in the modal
=> FAIL: You get a 400 page
5. Go back to 2
6. Apply this patch, and repeat 4
=> SUCCESS: It works!
7. Without refreshing the page, disable DublinCore in the sysprefs
8. Choose any subformat and proceed
=> SUCCESS: You get a 400! This means the subformats are only considered
if DublinCore itself is enabled
9. Sign off :-D

This patch tries to address errors in the way features are displayed in
result lists so that controls for holds, tags, lists, etc. are shown or
hidden according to system preferences.
The patch converts the Cart/Lists dropdown to separate buttons, making
the display logic simpler and making the interface more consistent with
updates to the staff interface search results.

- UseRecalls

Test plan:
Try to access opac-page.pl with a language not in OPACLanguages.
Verify that this 'language' was not passed to sql. Simplest perhaps
by debugging AdditionalContent.pm. Something like:
sub translated_content {
my ( $self, $lang ) = @_;
+warn "L137: $lang";
Now have a public additional_contents page and hit it:
/cgi-bin/koha/opac-page.pl?page_id=5&language=badsql
Check your log and find:
[2024/05/16 07:25:53] [WARN] L137: en at [etc] line 137.
So badsql was caught.

New can_patron_place_ill_in_opac method to include all rules
that need checking to determine if a patron is allowed
to place an ILL request on the OPAC or not.
Added effective_BlockExpiredPatronOpacActions_contains rule to
this new method.
Test plan, k-t-d,:
1) Install FreeForm and enable ILLmodule, run:
bash <(curl -s https://raw.githubusercontent.com/ammopt/koha-ill-dev/master/start-ill-dev.sh)
1.5) Checkout FreeForm's reorganize_ILL branch:
cd /kohadevbox/koha/Koha/Illbackends/FreeForm
git checkout reorganize_ILL
koha-plack --restart kohadev
2) Edit a patron category, visit:
<staff_url>/cgi-bin/koha/admin/categories.pl
3) Set 'Placing an ILL request' for the "Block expired patrons" input config
4) Add a new patron of one of the above category, make sure this patron is expired (set an expirydate to the past).
5) Login as that user and visit ILL page in OPAC:
/cgi-bin/koha/opac-illrequests.pl
6) Confirm there is no "Create a new request" button
7) Access the create a new request page url directly:
<opac_url>/cgi-bin/koha/opac-illrequests.pl?op=add_form&backend=FreeForm
8) Confirm you get a 403 page
9) Set the 'Block expired actions' to "Follow system preference BlockExpiredPatronOpacActions"
10) Test different values of the BlockExpiredPatronOpacActions system preference and confirm the behaviour matches what's configured

This is reminiscent of bug 36159 - when a field is submitted as empty, and null in the DB
we need to reject this as a change. I tried to copy the logic from that bug, as well as
deleting submitted changes for hidden fields (from html manipulation)
This should be tested extensively. One note: If you submit a valid change request, then submit a second with no change the second will be ignored, but the first will remain. i.e. if you change your name from 'Nick' to 'Nack' - then realize your typo you cannot submit a new request to change it back untl the initial request is cleared
To test:
1 - Play with PatronSelfModificationBorrowerUnwantedField and PatronSelfModificationMandatory field to have some fields set
2 - Add a patron attribute, or several, that are editable in the OPAC
3 - Try submitting a form with no changes, note a modification requets is submitted

This enhancement modifies the self-checkout script to better handle 'impossible' and 'needs confirmation' checkout messages.
Test with a combination of barcodes that would invoke these messages, for example:
- impossible: barcode doesn't exist
- impossible: barcode is for a 'notforloan' item type
- impossible: debt
- needs confirmation: barcode already checked out, i.e. confirm renewal
Include barcodes that should have successful checkouts too.
Also, test with the following sysprefs:
- BatchCheckouts: enabled
- BatchCheckoutsValidCategories: none selected
Confirm SCO does not have a multi-line text area for more than one barcode, and doesn't accept more than one barcode.

2 - confirm AutoSelfCheckAllowed is allowed and contains the username and password for the self_check user. Confirm self_check user is in category Staff

This patch allows more than one item to be scanned and processed at once in Koha's self-checkout module. The items in the batch will still be handled one-by-one, so if any item in the batch requires confirmation (i.e. to be renewed or returned) or is impossible to check out, the process will stop at that item. Any items earlier in the list will be processed, but any items coming after in the list will be ignored. This feature uses the existing BatchCheckouts and BatchCheckoutsValidCategories system preferences to determine if batch checkouts should be allowed.
To test:
1) Open the staff interface. Go to Koha Administration -> Global system preferences. Search for "BatchCheckouts". Confirm BatchCheckouts syspref is disabled, and no categories are selected for the BatchCheckoutsValidCategories syspref.
2) In another tab, open the OPAC self checkout (found out OPACBaseURL/cgi-bin/koha/sco/sco-main.pl) and log in
3) Confirm the self-checkout works as normal for checking out, returning or renewing one item at a time
4) Go back to the staff interface tab (you may need to log back in). Enable the BatchCheckouts syspref but leave the BatchCheckoutsValidCategories syspref empty.
5) Refresh the OPAC self checkout tab. The barcode input field will now be bigger to support a list of barcodes. Enter a list of barcodes separated by newlines and Submit.
6) Only the first barcode should be processed. This is because no categories are valid for BatchCheckouts.
7) Go back to the staff interface tab (you may need to log back in). Select at least your patron category for the BatchCheckoutsValidCategories syspref and Save.
8) Refresh the OPAC self checkout tab. Enter a list of barcodes separated by newlines and Submit. Confirm all valid items are checked out as expected.
9) Test with a few items that are notforloan or would not be valid checkouts. Confirm they are not checked out, but other valid items in the batch are checked out successfully.
10) Test with a batch where one of the items is already checked out to the patron. The batch should get blocked at this item as the self-checkout asks for confirmation.
11) Test with both renewing and returning of items that are already checked out to the patron. This will only work with one item at a time and later items in the list will be ignored.

2) Go to Koha Administration -> Global system preferences. The RedirectToSoleResult system preference is in the Searching tab. Confirm it is enabled (set to "Redirect") by default.

Koha/Illrequests.pm -> Koha/ILL/Requests.pm
Merged:
t/db_dependent/Koha/Illrequests.t
t/db_dependent/Illrequests.t
Into:
t/db_dependent/Koha/ILL/Requests.t
ILL classes file structure is, for the most part, around 7 years old and doesn't follow a strict logic. It's so confusing that some test files exist redundantly.
This housekeeping should help future work in regards to ISO18626 to add Koha as a supplying agency instead of just requesting agency, as is now.
It should also help future housekeeping of moving backend related logic out of the Illrequest.pm into Illbackend.pm (now ILL/Request.pm and ILL/Backend.pm as of this patchset).
It should also help in structuring the addition of a master generic form (see bug 35570)
This patchset will require existing backends to be updated to match the new class names and structure, if they invoke them.
Test plan, k-t-d, run tests:
prove t/db_dependent/api/v1/ill_*
prove t/db_dependent/Koha/ILL/*
Test plan, k-t-d, manual:
1) Install FreeForm, enable ILL module, run:
bash <(curl -s https://raw.githubusercontent.com/ammopt/koha-ill-dev/master/start-ill-dev.sh)
2) You'll have to switch the FreeForm repo to the one compatible with this work, like:
cd /kohadevbox/koha/Koha/Illbackends/FreeForm
git checkout reorganize_ILL
3) Do some generic ILL testing:
3.1) Create a request
3.2) Add a comment to a request
3.3) Edit a request
3.4) Edit a request's item metadata
3.5) Confirm a request
3.6) List requests
3.7) Filter requests list using left side filters
4) Install a metadata enrichment plugin:
https://github.com/PTFS-Europe/koha-plugin-api-pubmed
4.1) Create an ILL batch and insert a pubmedid like 123
4.2) Add the request and finish batch
5) Verify all of the above works as expected

This patch moves the ILLModuleCopyrightClearance system preference into
HTML customizations, making it possible to have language- and
library-specific content.
To test you should have some content in the ILLModuleCopyrightClearance
system preference before applying the patch. Apply the patch, run the
database update process, and rebuild the OPAC CSS.
- In the staff client, go to Tools -> HTML customizations and verify
that the content from ILLModuleCopyrightClearance is now stored there.
- The HTML customization entry form should offer
ILLModuleCopyrightClearance as a choice under "Display location."
- Update and reinstall active translations (for instance fr-FR):
- perl misc/translator/translate update fr-FR
- perl misc/translator/translate install fr-FR
- Enable the translation if necessary under Administration -> System
preferences -> language.
- Enable the "opaclanguagesdisplay" preference if necessary.
- Edit the ILLModuleCopyrightClearance HTML customization and add unique
content to the "fr-FR" tab.
- Enable the "ILLModule" and "ILLModuleUnmediated" system preferences if
necessary. You must have at least one ILL backend installed.
- Log into the OPAC and click the "Interlibrary loan requests" in the
sidebar menu on the user summary page.
- Click "Create new request."
- You should be taken to a page with your ILLModuleCopyrightClearance
content shown along with "Yes" and "No" buttons.
- Clicking "Yes" should take you to the form for creating a new
request.
- Switch to your updated translation and confirm that the content
appears correctly.
- Remove all "ILLModuleCopyrightClearance" html customizations. Test the
"Create new request" process in the OPAC again.
- There should be no confirmation step before arriving at the form for
creating a new ILL request.
- Go to Administration -> System preferences and search for
"ILLModuleCopyrightClearance." It should return no results.

This patch tries to simplify some of the logic here to match that on the search results. When we don't have a patron, we fallback to determining if an item can be held buy determining whether there are any items that don't have holds disallowed at the all libraries level. We also remove items with non-holdable statuses like withdrawn etc (and check some system preferences)
If we don't have a patron, then we are done, however, if we do, then we need to check each item against the policies related to that patron.
This patch also removes two checks at the end:
CountItemsIssued($biblionumber)
$biblio->has_items_waiting_or_intransit
These seem to be from bug 4319 - however, those rules are checked by IsAvailableForItemLevelRequest and are only relevant when we have a patron. These checks essentially assumed 'onshelfholds' policy of 'If any unavailable' For consistency sake I think we should follow the same logic as the results page.
To test:
1 - Find a record with two items, of different types, set a 'Default checkout, hold and return policy' of 'No holds allowed'
2 - Search opac, not logged in, and verify neither the results page or details page shows the place hold button
3 - Delete that rule, make both items withdrawn
4 - Search opac, not logged in, and verify neither the results page or details page shows the place hold button
5 - Mark one item as not withdrawn
6 - Search opac, not logged in, and verify both the results page or details page shows the place hold button
7 - Log in to opac
8 - Search opac, logged in, and verify both the results page or details page shows the place hold button
9 - Place an 'On shelf holds policy' rule for that patron category of 'If any unavailable'
10 - Search opac, logged in, and verify the results and details page shows the place hold button
11 - Set the other item to not withdrawn
12 - Search opac, logged in, and verify the results page shows the place hold button, but details does not
13 - Try various other scenarios - details page should be more correct, results page is always an approximation

This patch modifies opac-memberentry.pl so that the list of libraries is
sorted by library name instead of library code.
To test, apply the patch and restart services.
- If using the default testing data you'll have to go to Administration

is alphabetically different than the library code. e.g. Centerville ->
Zanzibar.
- Go the OPAC and click "Create an account" (requires the
PatronSelfRegistration system preference).
- Under "Home library," the dropdown of libraries should be ordered by
library name.

To test you should have some content in the OpacMaintenanceNotice
system preference before applying the patch. Apply the patch and run the
database update process.
- In the staff client, go to Tools -> HTML customizations and verify
that the content from OpacMaintenanceNotice is now stored there.
- The HTML customization entry form should offer OpacMaintenanceNotice
as a choice under "Display location."
- Update and reinstall active translations (for instance fr-FR):
- perl misc/translator/translate update fr-FR
- perl misc/translator/translate install fr-FR
- Enable the translation if necessary under Administration -> System
preferences -> language.
- Enable the "opaclanguagesdisplay" preference if necessary.
- Enable the "OpacMaintenance" system preference.
- Edit the OpacMaintenanceNotice HTML customization and add unique
content to the "fr-FR" tab.
- Try to view any page in the OPAC. You should see the content you
added to the OpacMaintenanceNotice HTML customization.
- Switch to your updated translation. The page should redisplay with

In the design of additional contents the idea of a parent-child relation is implicitly present. You have a default page and translations.
But we do this in one table coming from the old news items.
Several reports show that we would be better off creating a parent table listing the main news items, CMS pages or HTML content. And a child table containing the title, content and lang.
Note that this first step is a prelimenary step to clean this area and make it more robust and extensible. More enhancements to come.
What is this patchset doing?
* DB changes
- Rename additional_contents.idnew with id
- Create a new table additional_contents_localizations(id, additional_content_id, title, content, lang) that will contain the translated contents
- Move the content to this new table
- Remove title, content and lang columns from additional_contents
- Replace the notice templates that are using ''<news>" (should only be ISSUESLIP) and remove support for this syntax. Also add a warning in case other occurrences of uses of the old syntax exist.
* CRUD
- We add a new Koha::AdditionalContentsLocalization[s] couple, and move some logic from Koha::AdditionalContent[s] to there. Note that, to prevent too much drastic changes in notice templates, and to make them easy to use, the different attributes of the content object is accessible from the translated content object (ie. Koha::AdditionalContentsLocatlization->library is available and return $self->additional_content->library). I think it's an elegant way to keep things simple.
- No changes expected for "NewsLog" logging
- Little behaviour changes for pages, see tools/page.pl changes. We are now passing the id of the content, and the desired language, instead of the mix of "page_id" or code and lang. Note that here we certainly need to rename "language" query param to not change the full interface language.
Test plan:
0. Preparation steps, use master
a. Create notice templates that are using "<< additional_contents.code >>". This won't be replaced, but we want the update process to alert us.
b. Create several news, additional contents, pages. Some with translated contents, some without.
c. Make sure ISSUESLIP has the "<news>" section. If you are using the sample data there is nothing to do here
d. Turn on NewsLogs
1. Apply the patches, restart_all, updatedatabase
=> Confirm that the new table is created and filled with the contents you had prior to the update
=> Confirm that additional_contents_localizations.updated_on has been kept to the previous values
=> Confirm that ISSUESLIP has been replaced properly
=> Confirm that you get a warning about the additional_contents
2. Create, update, delete news, html customs, pages
=> Confirm that the additional_contents_localizations.updated_on is only adjusted when required
=> Confirm that the logs are correctly created when NewsLogs is on
3. Check some items out, generate a slip
=> Confirm that the news are displayed at the bottom of the slip, and that the publication date is correctly formatted
4. Have several HTML customizations (like OpacNav, opacheader), in translated in different languages
=> Confirm that the default values is displayed when you are using the interface in a language without translation
=> Confirm that the translated version is picked when it exists
Notes for QA:
* I am not sure we really need the alert during the update DB process about the additional_contents leftover. We should not have them outside of ISSUESLIP.
Shouldn't it hurt?
* There is something ugly in sample_news.yml, the id is hardcoded. But how do we prevent that and keep translatability?

if OPACHoldsIfAvailableAtPickup is set to "Don't allow" (i.e. if patrons cannot place holds on items that are available at their library), patrons cannot place holds on items that are on order (or any negative not for loan value) for pickup at their library.
Technically, those items are not "available", so they shouldn't be affected by this system preference.
To replicate:
Prerequisites :
- Have at least two libraries (I used the sample libraries)
- Have a patron in one of the libraries (I used Henry Acevedo), make sure you know the user id and password for that patron
- Make sure the circulation rules allow holds for the patron category
1. Set OPACHoldsIfAvailableAtPickup to "Don't allow"
1.1. Go to Administration > Global system preference
1.2. Search for OPACHoldsIfAvailableAtPickup
1.3. Change the value to "Don't allow"
1.4. Click "Save all Circulation preferences"
2. Make an item "On order" at the patron's library (Henry Acevedo is at Midway)
2.1. If needed, create a bibliographic record and item
2.2. Edit the item to assign the "On order" not for loan status
2.3. Change the home and holding library to the patron's library (Midway)
2.4. Click "Save changes"
3. Try to place a hold on the item through the OPAC
3.1. In the OPAC, log in as the patron
3.2. Search for the item
3.3. Click "Place hold"
--> Notice the patron's library is greyed out in the pickup location drop-down menu"
4. Apply the patch
5. Repeat step 3
--> Notice you can select the patron's library in the pickup location drop-down menu and place a hold with it

This patch adds an 'Alert subscriptions' tab to the patron's account on the OPAC, so they can easily view or cancel email alerts they have subscribed to.
To test:
1. Subscribe to email alerts for one or more subscriptions via the OPAC
2. Go to your account, notice the new 'Alert subscriptions' menu option, click here
3. Confirm your subscribed alerts show here. Confirm the table sorting works etc (JS enabled).
4. Test unsubscribing from email alerts, make sure the confirmation pop-up works as expected (JS enabled).
5. Confirm that, when unsubscribing, you are redirected back to this page.

This patch adds the page number to the breadcrumb in the opac search results to ensure that it is unique to the content on the page. Currently it is not compliant to Accessibility guidelines as the breadcrumb is identical on every page despite the content being different.
To test:
1) Apply patch
2) Run a search in the OPAC that will return more than 20 results.
3) The breadcrumb should say "Results of search for 'search term', page x of y"
4) Run a search that will return less than 20 results

1. Set system preferences:
- Disable OPACAllowUserToChooseBranch
- Set ReservesControlBranch to "item's home library"
- Enable UseBranchTransferLimits
- Set BranchTransferLimitsType to "item type"
- Enable canreservefromotherbranches
- Disable IndependantBranches
2. Create two libraries: ITEM_LIB and PATRON_LIB
3. Set circulation rules:
- Remove all circulation rules (DELETE FROM circulation_rules)
- Set a default rule that allow some holds and with "OPAC item level
holds" = "force". Allow "on shelf" holds for easier testing.
- In the rules for ITEM_LIB, under "Default checkout, hold and return
policy",
- set "Hold policy" to "From any library"
- set "Hold pickup library match" to "item's home library"
- In the rules for PATRON_LIB, under "Default checkout, hold and
return policy",
- set "Hold policy" to "From any library",
- set "Hold pickup library match" to "any library"
4. In "Library transfer limits" disable all transfers from ITEM_LIB to
PATRON_LIB for an item type (let's say "BOOK")
5. Create a biblio with an item:
- item type must be the same as in previous step ("BOOK")
- home branch and holding branch must be ITEM_LIB
6. Create a patron at PATRON_LIB, give it a password so it can log in.
7. Go to OPAC, and login with this patron
8. Try to place a hold for the new item. You should be allowed to place
a hold, but when doing it, no holds will be created.
9. Apply patch, restart Koha

This patch confirms that a session ID has been set before trying to save search history to a logged in user on the OPAC.
This depends on EnableOpacSearchHistory system preference being enabled.
Apply the patch and test that you don't see an Error 500 page at any point through this plan:
1. Do an OPAC search, ensure you are not logged in
2. Confirm your search was saved to search history

When we set up a circulation rule where 'On shelf holds allowed' is 'If any unavailable' and we have a record with one 'Ordered' item, we cannot place this item on hold.
This patch allows placing hold on item with negative not for loan values, when using rule with 'On shelf holds allowed' set to 'If any unavailable'
To test:
1. Set up a circulation rule where on shelf holds are not allowed and force the choosing of an item (to facilitate the test)
1.1. Go to Administration > Circulation and fines rules
1.2. In the matrix, add a circulation like this
- Patron category: All
- Item type: Books
- Current checkouts allowed: 10
- Current on-site checkouts allowed: 10
- Loan period: 21
- Holds allowed (total): 10
- Holds allowed (daily): 10
- Holds per record (count): 10
- On shelf holds allowed: If any unavailable
- OPAC item level holds: Force
1.3. Click Save

2.4. Click Save
2.5. Fill out the following item fields
- Not for loan: Ordered
- Koha item type: Books
2.6. Click Add item
2.7. Click Normal to go to the detailed record
3. Try to place a hold on the 'Ordered' item
3.1. From the detailed record, click OPAC view: Open in new window.
--> Note that the 'Place hold' option is not present

It is possible inject raw HTML into the "Back to search results" link by leading the user to a search with specially crafted URL.
For example, using the demo instance:
1. Visit https://koha.adminkuhn.ch/cgi-bin/koha/opac-search.pl?idx=&q=test&weight_search=1&%22%3Etest%3Ca%20foo=%22
2. Refresh the page (for some reason, "back to results" doesn't appear unless I do that at least once).
3. Click any result.
Note that the result page now contains:
<a href="opac-search.pl?idx=&q=test&weight_search=1&">test<a foo=%22" title="...
i.e. `">test<a ...` was successfully injected into the HTML.
I'm attaching a quick patch I've used to patch up our instance. It just indiscriminately URI-escapes all parameter keys. I didn't decode them back since as far as I understand all valid keys do not contain special characters.

There are several places in the code where we precalculate ItemsAnyAvailableAndNotRestricted to avoid
looping on this routine when calling IsAvailableForItemLevelRequest on a list of items form a biblio
The value of ItemsAnyAvailableAndNotRestricted is only used when there is a circulation rule for
'onshelfholds' with a value of '2' (If all unavailable)
Rather than calculate a value that may never be used, let's cache this value per request when we do
calculate it - and reuse the cached value
To test:
1 - Apply patch
2 - Set circulation rule 'On shelf holds allowed' as 'If all unavailable'
make sure the rule applies to all of the items/patrons you test with
3 - Find a record with two items that are available
4 - Try to place a hold for a patron - not allowed
5 - Check out one item to another patron
6 - Attempt hold - still not allowed
7 - Check out second item to another patron
8 - Attempt hold - allowed!
9 - Apply patch
10 - Cancel and replace hold - it is allowed!
11 - Check in one item, and cancel hold
12 - Place hold - not allowed!
13 - Check in second item
14 - Place hold - not allowed!
15 - prove -v t/db_dependent/Holds/DisallowHoldIfItemsAvailable.t

This patch caches the return value of CanItemBeReserved that could
be then returned *on
demand*
We don't want to introduce side-effects hard to catch from this simple
change, so let's return the cache value only from the 2 scripts we are
dealing with.
This patch requests all item values from CanBookBeReserved on request.pl
Before this we either:
- Looped every item to find out that book could not be reserved
- Looped until we found an item that could be reserved, then looped all items to get statuses
In the worst case we avoid double processing a single item, in the best case we avoid double
processing all items (if only last on record is holdable)
To test:
1 - Find a record in staff client with several items
2 - Set AllowHoldsOnDamagedItems to 'Dont allow'
3 - Add a damaged item to record
4 - Set a hold rule to only allow holds form homebranch and ensure record has items from other branches

To reproduce:
- Enable the ILL module
- Install the FreeForm backend as described here:
https://wiki.koha-community.org/wiki/ILL_backends
- Go to the ILL module and add two different ILL requests by
clicking on "New ILL request" and entering the necessary details.
- Make sure you connect the two requests to two *different* patrons
in the field marked "Card number, username or surname"
- Make the two titles different, and make a not of which title is
connected to which patron
- Log in as one of the two patrons who now have an ILL request each,
in the OPAC
- Go to the "Interlibrary loan requests" tab
- Click on "View" for the request connected to this patron. The URL
will look like something like this:
http://<opac>/cgi-bin/koha/opac-illrequests.pl?method=view&illrequest_id=2
- Now change the number at the end to correspond to the the ILL request
connected to the *other* patron
- Verify you can see the details of an ILL request conncted to another
patron than the patron you are logged in as
To test:
- Apply the patch
- Restart all the things if you are testing with ktd
- Reload the detail view of the ILL request that belongs to the patron
you are not logged in as
- Verify you are redirect to the 404 page and can not see the details

Patch 32555 tries to resolve the issue caused by bug 31313. But the way it is fixed seems to be
at least problematic. With patch 32555 we will never see the difference between
`serial`.`serialseq` and `items`.`enumchron` which is still intended in opac-detail.tt
(line ~ 1332) and [intranet] catalogue/detail.tt (line ~ 446). This is because
ITEM_RESULT.serialitem (in opac-detail.tt) and item.itemserial.serial (in catalogue/detail.tt)
refer to non-existing things. (and therefor the problem described in 32555 no longer emerge).
The original problem is caused by mixing up serialitem with serial in [opac-]detail.pl
and passing serialitem instead of serial to both templates.
To test:
1. Create a serial subscription
1.1. Go to Serials
1.2. Click on New subscription
1.3. Fill out the first form
- Vendor: leave empty
- Record: enter a record number
- Create an item record when receiving this serial
- When there is an irregular issue: Keep issue number
- Manual history: leave unchecked
- Call number: leave empty
- Library: Centerville
- Public/nonpublic note: leave empty
- Patron notification: None
- Location: None
- Collection: None
- Item type: Continuing resources
- Grace period: leave empty
- Number of issues to display: leave both empty
1.4. Click Next (and confirm you are not using a vendor)
1.5. Fill out the second form
- First issue publication date: 2023-01-01
- Frequency: 1/month
- Subscription length: issues 12
- Subscription start date: 2023-01-01
- Subscription end date: 2024-01-01
- Numbering pattern: Number
- Locale: leave empty
- Begins with: 42
- Inner counter: leave empty
1.6. Click Test prediction pattern
1.7. Click Save subscription
2. Click OPAC view: Open in new window.
3. Back in the staff interface tab, receive an issue
3.1. Click Receive
3.2. In Status, choose Arrived for No. 42
3.3. IN ITEM DETAILS BELOW CHANGE h - Serial enumeration / chronology
from No. 42 to some different string
3.3. Click Save
4. Check the items in OPAC and Intranet – you will see only the value from the
item $h subfield (enumchron) instead of desired "enumchron -- serialseq"
in case of a difference between `serial`.`serialseq` and `items`.`enumchron`.
5. Apply this patch
6. Repeat 4
7. Check the items in OPAC and Intranet – you should now see the desired
"enumchron -- serialseq" string.

This patch changes opac-reserve.pl to return the error(s) when placing
a hold as a pipe delimited list which is then translated to a message for the
user
To test:
1 - Find a record with items available on the opac
2 - Click 'place hold' and set things up, but do not confirm
3 - In staff client, do something to make hold invalid:
- Make item damaged
- Make library not a pickup location
- Place other holds for patron up to limit
- etc.
4 - Confirm hold on OPAC
5 - You are sent to patron's account, hold is not placed
6 - There is little or no message to explain why
7 - Apply patch
8 - Repeat
9 - Now errors are clear

When ordering catalog search by relevance from advanced search, this is not visible in sort order combobox in staff interface.
This is because sort by relevance is a special case not using sort
order.
This patch add a new method C4::Context->default_catalog_sort_by to use
in both staff interface and OPAC.
Test plan :
1.0) On staff interface
1.1) Define system preferences defaultSortField = 'relevance' and defaultSortOrder = 'descending'
1.2) Perform a catalog search from main page on any term, ie 'perl'
=> You see in sort combobox 'relevance' selected (with a check icon)
1.3) Perform an advanced search on any term, ie 'perl', with sort by relevance
=> Without patch : you see in sort combobox 'relevance' not selected (no check icon)
=> With patch : you see in sort combobox 'relevance' selected (with a check icon)
2.0) On OPAC
2.1) Define system preferences OPACdefaultSortField = 'relevance' and OPACdefaultSortOrder = 'descending'
2.2) Perform a catalog search from main page on any term, ie 'perl'
=> You see in sort combobox 'relevance' selected
3.0) Run prove t/Context.t

There was a code typo causing an error when you tried
to download a list in MARC format:
Not a CODE reference at /kohadevbox/koha/opac/opac-downloadshelf.pl line 93
To test:
* In the OPAC: create a new list, public or private, with some records
* Open the list
* Try to download the list as MARC
* Verify you get an error
* Apply patch
* Verify you now get the expected download file
* Sign off :)

The OPAC/PRO cart only displays biblio fields coming from 'biblio'
table. Fields from biblioitems table aren't displayed anymore.
TO TEST:
1. Populate a cart in OPAC/staff interface and display it.
2. You can see that Year column is empty (if you don't have copyright
field). And other fields.
3. Apply the patch.
4. You can see more fields in cart simple/detailed view.

Tested by having a record with:
- biblio.copyrightdate = NULL
- biblioitems.publicationyear = 2025
Without the patch, no year is shown in the cart. With the patch, 2025 is shown.

GDPR is a European Union (and, at time of writing, UK) law.
The GDPR_Policy system preference is about a patron
giving consent to their personal data being processed in
line with the library's privacy policy.
The name of the preference is vague: there could be
many policies implemented by libraries to comply with
GDPR. It also makes the preference look irrelevant for
libraries outside the areas where GDPR applies, while
it may be useful for libraries anywhere.
This renames GDPR_Policy to PrivacyPolicyConsent and
adjusts the system preference descriptions.
To test:
* Apply the patch
* Run database update
* Search for GDPR_Policy in the system preference
- you should not find anything.
* Search for DataPrivacyConsent in the system preferences
- you should find it and be able to activate it
* Verify the feature works as expected
- If the preference is set to "enforced", you will be
asked to give consent to the data privacy agreement
in the OPAC when you log in
* Verify the page is now phrased neutrally using 'privacy policy'
Bonus: Consent date is now formatted according to DateFormat
system preference.

This enhancement adds the ability for patrons to dismiss an OPAC
message, marking it as read to remove it from their summary page.
To test:
1) Update database and restart services
2) Log into the staff interface and go to your patron account
3) Click the Add message button
4) Add a message for the OPAC and Save
5) Log into the OPAC. Note there is a message on the homepage saying you
have a message. Go to your user summary and confirm the message
displays.
6) Click the button to dismiss the message. A confirmation box should
pop up - hitting Cancel should stop the action.
7) Dismiss the message again and this time Confirm. Make sure the
message is gone from the OPAC user summary and from the homepage.
8) Confirm tests pass t/db_dependent/Koha/Patron/Messages.t
9) Create a few more messages for the OPAC
10) Log into the OPAC and dismiss one of the messages
11) Confirm the count of unread messages on the OPAC home page is
correct

When creating a suggestion for an existing biblio, biblio info like
title or author should not be editable.
Test plan:
1. Enable system preference 'suggestion'
2. Log in at OPAC
3. Go to a biblio record detail page
4. Click 'suggest for purchase'
5. Notice that all fields can be modified (title, author, ...)
6. Apply patch
7. Repeat steps 2 and 3 or refresh the page
8. Verify that the biblio fields cannot be modified now. The only fields
that should be editable are: quantity, item type, library, reason for
suggestion, and notes
