Bug 20589: Add field boosting and use query_string fields parameter
Generate a list of fields for the query_string query fields parameter,
with possible boosts, instead of using "_all"-field. Also add "search"
flag in search_marc_to_field table so that certain mappings can be
excluded from searches. Add option to include/exclude fields in
query_string "fields" parameter depending on searching in OPAC or staff
client. Refactor code to remove all other dependencies on "_all"-field.

How to test:
1) Reindex authorities and biblios.
2) Search biblios and try to verify that this works as expected.
3) Search authorities and try to verify that this works as expected.
4) Go to "Search engine configuration"
5) Change some "Boost", "Staff client", and "OPAC" settings and save.
6) Verify that those settings where saved accordingly.
7) Click the "Biblios" or "Authorities" tab and change one or more
   "Searchable" settings
8) Verfiy that those settings where saved accordingly.
9) Try to verify that these settings has taken effect by peforming
   some biblios and/or authorities searches.

Bug 23004: Missing authtype filter in auth_finder.pl
In cataloguing, the use of tag editor opens authorities finder with a limit on specific authorities type.
This limit is missing with Elasticsearch.

This patch adds in query a "filter" on "term" which is the most performant way because there must be no ranking computed on this part.

Test plan :
1) Use Elasticsearch
2) Create an autority of type author (NP in UNIMARC) with heading "Tolkien"
3) Create an autority of type subject-author (SAUT in UNIMARC) with heading "Tolkien"
4) Create a biblio record
5) Use tag editor on a author field (700 in UNIMARC)
6) Seach for "Tolkien" in $a
without patch : you see the 2 authorities in results
with patch : you see only the correct authority in results (NP in UNIMARC)
7) Check search in authorities-home.pl is still OK

Bug 22258: Elasticsearch: Add array as an alternative MARC format
Adds preference ElasticsearchMARCFormat that controls whether MARC records are stored as ISO2709/MARCXML or array. Array is searchable by field and also indexes all subfields in the _all field for searching.

Test plan:
1. Test that searching and indexing works with the patch without any changes.
2. Switch to array format and index some records.
3. Check e.g. the 008 field of a record and verify that the record can be found with the contents enclosed in quotes.
4. Check that it's possible to search for a specific field/subfield. Search query: marc_data_array.fields.655.subfields.a:Diaries
5. Check that tests still pass, especially t/Koha/SearchEngine/Elasticsearch.t

Bug 14419: Expanding facets (Show more) performs a new search
This patch removes the constraint of only passing 5 facets to the template unless the list is expanded, in fact, it removes the 'expanded' attribute from Search.pm
Now that all facets are passed to page it adds a 'show more' link at the bottom of lists and allows user to expand or collapse any facet set without reloading page.

Updated tests included.

To test:
1 - Perform an OPAC search that returns more than 5 of any given facet type
2 - Click the "Show more" link on the facets and see that the search is reloaded
3  - Apply patch
4  - Repeat search
5 - Note that you can click "Show more" without reloading page
6 - Test that page load is not greatly affected
7 - Ensure that all facet links function normally
8 - Ensure that facets are the same a prior to patch
9 - Repeat for staff client
10 - Prove t/Search.t

NOTE: This patch makes it much easier to see that there is an existing issue with marking the "active" facet. Ending punctuation seems to confuse the matcher.

You get no results when searching with an hyphen + with * in query string (or with preference QueryAutoTruncate) :

David Gustafsson 5389ffa38a Bug 19893: Alternative optimized indexing for Elasticsearch
Implement optimized indexing for Elasticsearch

How to test:
1) Time a full elasticsearch re-index without this patch by running the
   rebuild_elastic_search.pl with the -d flag:
   `koha-shell <instance_name> -c "time rebuild_elastic_search.pl -d"`.
2) Apply this patch.
3) Time a full re-index again, it should be about twice at fast (for a
   couple of thousand biblios, with fewer biblios results may be more

Nick Clemens fa853f7d38 Bug 18316: Add weighting/relevancy options to ES query on simple search
The idea is the following: if some search field(s) are weighted in
search engine config page, Koha will query ES on all fields plus those with
the coresponding weights. Else, search is done on the entire record with
no weighting. The advanced search page is unaffected by these changes

Test plan (having Koha working with Elasticsearch):
  - apply this patch
  - have some weights defined for various fields
  - try searches from the search bar and from the advanced search page
  - confirm weighting affects the relevancy (in expected ways)
      e.g.
      1. search for 'a' from advanced search, note results
      2. give 'title' a weight
      3. search for 'a' using the simple search bar
      4. results with 'a' in the title should now be more relevant
  - confirm search results on advanced search page are unaffected

Ere Maijala 23f78a6c2a Bug 20248: Improve Elasticsearch mappings UI and rebuild_elastic_search.pl.
Improvements:
1) Mappings UI now has button that allows one to reset the mappings.
2) Mappings UI displays the items in alphabetical order.
3) Indexing script drops and recreates the index right away, which
helps prevent ES from autocreating a bad index if someone does something
while the first batch of records is being processed.
4) Indexing script has nicer output.

To test:
1) Change mappings.yaml file
2) Reset mappings in UI in mappings.pl
3) Verify the mappings have been changed in UI
4) The field order is alphabetical
5) Rebuild script has clean output
6) Run test t/db_dependent/Koha_Elasticsearch_Indexer.t

Nick Clemens f983c1e3f7 Bug 19604: Elasticsearch Fixes for build_authorities_query for auth searching
To test:
1 - Do some authority searches in Zebra
2 - Switch to ES and repeat, results will vary and some may fail
3 - Apply patch and dependencies
4 - Reindex ES
5 - Repeat searches, they should suceed and results should be similar to
Zebra
6 - Slight differences are okay, but results should (mostly) meet
expectations

A few notes:
We add a 'normalizer' to ensure we get a single token from the heading
indexes, this makes 'starts with' work as expcted
We switch to 'AND' for fields searched from cataloging editor - this
matches Zebra results
We force the '__sort' fields for sorting - if sorting looks wrong try
reducing the heading field to a single subfield - this will need to be
addressed on a future bug (multiple subfields create an array, ES sorts
        those randomly)

Nick Clemens e1ba8d344d Bug 19563: (follow-up) Restore checking sort variable
This code seems a bit odd, $self->sort_fields()->{$name} is checking if
there is any mapping in ES for a field, so if one marc field in an index
is marked as sortable this will exists. We need to check the individual
marc field to see if it should be added to the sort index here.

If you apply the first patch, reindex, and view a record in es:
curl -XGET 'localhost:9200/koha_kohadev_biblios/data/19/?pretty' | grep
-A 10 author__sort

You will see that 245$c is included in the record without that
additional check

Apply this, reindex again, and that field should not be included

Fix incorrect condition for if clause for generating <field>__sort mappings
for Elasticsearch. Also remove redundant check for same condition when
generating fixer rules.

Test plan:
1. Inspect current mappings for example by viewing: http://<elasticsearch_host>:9200/koha_<koha_instance_name>_biblios/_mapping.
2. If using the default configuraion only "author" has a sort field (author__sort).
4. Appy patch.
5. Reindex using rebuild_elastic_search.pl.
6. All fields except those with sort sort set to "0" should now have sort fields, which in the default configuration is all but "author".

David Cook 50f4024055 Bug 15541 - Prevent normalization during matching/import process
This patch allows you to use the "qualifier,qualifier" syntax
in the Record Matching Rules "Search Index" when using the QueryParser.
While QueryParser doesn't support this syntax, it will now fallback
correctly to non-QueryParser functionality. Without the patch, your search
will just fail silently.

This patch also adds a "skip_normalize" option to C4::Search::SimpleSearch(),
and uses the option during C4::Matcher::get_matches. This prevents
the s/:/=/g and s/=/:/g normalization. This normalization is heavy-handed,
and while it is necessary sometimes to generate a valid CCL query or
QueryParser query, C4::Matcher::get_matches() already produces a valid
CCL query, so we don't need to do this normalization.

Additionally, this normalization causes problems when you use a
Zebra register which isn't normalized: namely the "u" register.
Strings are stored "as is", so http://localhost/koha/resource/1 is
stored as is during indexing. When you search, you need to pass
the exact same thing through the query to get a match. Using
http=//localhost/koha/resource/1 in your query will yield zero results.

_TEST PLAN_

0) Apply patch

1) Create a Record Matching Rule in Koha with the following details:
    Matching rule code: TEST
    Description: Test
    Match threshold: 100
    Record type: Bibliographic
    Match point 1:
        Search index: id-other,st-urx
        Score: 100
        Tag: 024
        Subfields: a
        Normalization rule: None
2) Create a record in Koha with an indexable URI
    2a) Default framework
    2b) 024 $a http://koha-community.org/test $2 uri
    2c) 040 $c test
    2d) 245 $a This is a test record
    2e) 942 $c Books
    2f) Save (save again if cautioned about missing fields as these should autofill)
3) Do a full re-index of Zebra
4) Download your record from Koha as a .mrc file (ie isomarc, binary marc, etc)
5) Go to "Stage MARC records for import"
    5a) Upload your .marc file.
    5b) Change your "Record matching rule" to "Test"
    5c) Click Stage for import
9) It should say "1 records with at least one match in catalog per matching rule "Test".

NOTE: For completeness, you can go through this process on a clean master branch,
and note that it will say '0 records with at least one match in catalog per matching rule "TEST"'

Blou 77337a2ab5 Bug 17260: updatedatabase.pl fails on invalid entries in ENUM and BOOLEAN columns
The loading of file admin/searchengine/elasticsearch/mappings.yaml
specifies 'type' as empty, which fails with Mysql 5.7+ which is more
stringent.

Also, forcing an empty value into a boolean also fails.

Both issues arise when updatedatabase.pl hit 3.23.00.050.

NOTE: both issues could also be resolved by actually setting values in
      the load file. This doesn't make this solution incorrect, though.

To Test/reproduce:
-1) Happens with Mysql 5.7.4. Maybe earlier, but certainly at
    that point. Use a Xenial kohadevbox to more easily test.
0) Find a database on 3.22 or earlier, save it.
    a) place
           sql_mode=IGNORE_SPACE,NO_ZERO_IN_DATE,NO_ZERO_DATE,ERROR_FOR_DIVISION_BY_ZERO,NO_AUTO_CREATE_USER,NO_ENGINE_SUBSTITUTION
       into the [mysqld] section of /etc/mysql/mysql.conf.d/mysqld.cnf
    b) restart you mysql server
    c) drop the db and recreate it
    d) checkout the 3.22.x branch
    e) do a web install
    f) remove the added sql_mode
    g) restart the mysql server
1) Set your code base to master
2) run updatedatabase.pl
3) See the errors on 3.23.00.050
4) Apply the patch
5) Reload the 3.22 db.
   a) repeat steps 0(a)-0(g)
   b) don't forget the caching issues
6) succeed with updatedatabase.pl
7) drop the db and recreate it
8) run the web installer
9) notice no issues either.
10) run koha qa test tools

NOTE: This bug only solved the upgrade portion.
      I added the kohastructure.sql change as well.
      I confirmed that all the code changes were
      triggered with this test plan.

Tomas Cohen Arazi d115602c98 Bug 18068: ES - Fix location and (home|holding)branch facets
This patch makes the 'Locations' facet work as expected (i.e. having the
same behaviour it has for Zebra: picking the 952$c in MARC21 and 995e
for UNIMARC).

It also adds the code to handle holding and home library settings for
facets and makes the facets show the library name instead of the branch
code.

The mappings are updated so the labels match what facets.inc expect to
work properly.

To test:
- On master, do a search that returns biblios with items having
homebranch set.
=> FAIL: Under the 'Locations' label on the facets you will notice
branchcodes are shown.
- Apply the patch
- Restart memcached and plack (just in case, it was tricky)
- Reset your mappings:
  http://localhost:8081/cgi-bin/koha/admin/searchengine/elasticsearch/mappings.pl?op=reset&i_know_what_i_am_doing=1
- Restart memcached and plack (again, not sure if needed)
- Make sure this mappings are set:
  homebranch => HomeLibrary
  holdingbranch => HoldingLibrary
  (Note: it might not be set due to the place the yaml file is being picked)
- Reindex your records:
  $ sudo koha-shell kohadev
 k$ cd kohaclone
 k$ perl misc/search_tools/rebuild_elastic_search.pl -d -v
- Repeat the initial search
=> SUCCESS: 'Location' contains the right stuff, 'Home libraries' and

1c. Destroy elasticsearch index
    curl -XDELETE localhost:9200/koha_biblios
    so it can be recreated

2. Recreate the index:
   perl misc/search_tools/rebuild_elastic_search.pl
2a. Add something to index if your koha.biblio-table is empty

3. Fetch all indexed records and the facet for subject__facet

curl -XGET localhost:9200/koha_biblios/data/_search?pretty -d '{
  "aggregations": {
    "my_agg": {
      "terms": {

Olli-Antti Kivilahti d1077b5ae6 Bug 17255 - Upgrade Elastic Search code to work with version 2.4+ - rebased wip
-Changed deprecated facets to aggregations
-Fixed boolean datatypes not allowing analyzers to be specified
-Fixed deprecated '_id' to 'es_id'. Now the ES-index has the correct id==biblionumber

ZE TEST PLAN

1. Reset Zebra index since facets are hard coded to dynamic search_marc_mappings.
2. perl misc/search_tools/rebuild_elastic_search.pl
3. Fetch all indexed records and the facet for subject__facet

curl -XGET localhost:9200/koha_biblios/data/_search?pretty -d '{
  "aggregations": {
    "my_agg": {
      "terms": {
        "field": "subject__facet"
      }
    }
  }

Kyle M Hall d91e75919a Bug 17132 - Availability search broken when using Elastic
Elastic appears to be indexing onloan as a string, but our code assumes
it is a boolean.

Test Plan:
1) Ensure you are set up using Elastic as your search engine
2) Search only for available items from the advanced search
3) Note you get no results
4) Apply this patch
5) Re-run the search
6) You should now get results!

Jonathan Druart cb76c3bd97 Bug 17377: ES - Take control fields into account
There is a bug in Koha::SearchEngine::Elasticsearc::Search->json2marc, it
assumes that the MARC::Field constructor always takes >= 5 parameters.
This assumption is wrong for control fields, to create a control field you
need to call the constructor with:
  MARC::Field->new($tag, $value);

Note that I got "Too much data for control field" in the _warning value of my
MARC::Field because too many parameters were passed, and the value was undef.

That broke the result search links (on the staff interface) for DB with
biblio.biblionumber mapped with 001.

Other bugs will certainly be fixed by this patch.
For instance I got:
  GetMarcBiblio called with undefined biblionumber at /home/koha/src/opac/opac-search.pl line 664.
  GetCOinSBiblio called with undefined record at /home/koha/src/opac/opac-search.pl line 665.
in my logs, with this patch I don't get them anymore.

Test plan:
You can try to recreate the different issues and confirm than this patch
fixes them.
Or just run the tests

Jonathan Druart 8d04291153 Bug 12478: Display facet terms ordered by number of occurrences
By default ES returns the facet terms ordered by most used, which makes
sense.

This patch removes resort done in the scripts (catalogue/search.pl and
opac/opac-search.pl) and moves it to the module.

For Zebra it's now done in C4::Search::getRecords, and there is no
change to expect (still alphabetically).

On the Elastic search side, we could imagine to let the library define
the order of the facets. The facet terms are now sorted by most used.

To test easily this change, turn on the displayFacetCount pref.

Jonathan Druart cf2eb49448 Bug 12538: Remove Solr without breaking anything else
Since nobody is currently working on the zebra layer introduced by bug
8233, Solr won't never work.
Some code has been introduced in 3.10 to prove several search engines
can cohabit into Koha but no help/fund has been found to go ahead.
It is useless to keep this code and to maintain an ambiguous situation.

I think the indexes configuration page could be restore later if someone
else introduces a new search engine into Koha.

Test plan:
Look at the code introduced by bug 8233 and verify all is removed.

I can't really test this with solr, but as various people
at the hackfest have confirmed this to be fixing the problem
I feel save to pass QA. All tests and QA script pass too.

Jared Camins-Esakov bc05b5d163 Bug 7417: Include see from references in bibliographic searches
This patch adds the Koha::Indexer::RecordNormalizer and
Koha::Indexer::MARC::RecordNormalizer::EmbedSeeFromHeadings packages
to enable the inclusion of alternate forms of headings in bibliographic
searches. When the new syspref IncludeSeeFromInSearches is turned on
(default is off) rebuild_zebra.pl will insert see from headings from
authority records into bibliographic records when indexing, so that a
search on an obsolete term will turn up relevant records.

To test:
1) Enable IncludeSeeFromInSearches
2) Add a heading that has an alternate form to a record (for example,
   "Cooking" has the alternate form "Cookery," if you have authority
   records from LC)
3) Index the zebraqueue (or reindex if you haven't indexed your system
   yet)
4) Confirm that if you search for "Cookery" you get the record you
   just modified
