During a Webinar discussion regarding the new placement of the circulation messages appearing in the Patron Detail page. It was commented by a librarian that it would be nice to have the circulation messages editable. At times libraries need to keep a specific message on a patrons account with the details such as what branch it was written from and the staff member that wrote it, but it would be nice to be able to edit this message.
Test Plan:
1) Apply this patch
2) Restart all the things!
3) Browser to a patron record
4) Create a new patron message
5) Note the patron message now has an "edit" button
6) Edit the existing message using the edit button and form
7) Check the action logs for that message, note there is a modification
logged to that message if BorrowersLog is enabled

This enhancement adds the ability for patrons to dismiss an OPAC
message, marking it as read to remove it from their summary page.
To test:
1) Update database and restart services
2) Log into the staff interface and go to your patron account
3) Click the Add message button
4) Add a message for the OPAC and Save
5) Log into the OPAC. Note there is a message on the homepage saying you
have a message. Go to your user summary and confirm the message
displays.
6) Click the button to dismiss the message. A confirmation box should
pop up - hitting Cancel should stop the action.
7) Dismiss the message again and this time Confirm. Make sure the
message is gone from the OPAC user summary and from the homepage.
8) Confirm tests pass t/db_dependent/Koha/Patron/Messages.t
9) Create a few more messages for the OPAC
10) Log into the OPAC and dismiss one of the messages
11) Confirm the count of unread messages on the OPAC home page is
correct

The discharge feature relies PDF::FromHTML which explicitly doesn't
handle CSS [1].
This patch makes it use the `weasyprint` command-line tool to generate
the PDF. This tool handles CSS correctly.
To test:
1. Install weasyprint:
$ apt install weasyprint
2. Add some style to your DISCHARGE letter. I used:
<<today>>
<h1>Discharge confirmation</h1>
<p style="background-color: yellow;"><<branches.branchname>> certifies that the following borrower:<br>
<<borrowers.firstname>> <<borrowers.surname>> (cardnumber: <<borrowers.cardnumber>>)<br>
has returned all items.</p>
3. Have some non-latin chars on the patron name. I picked 'Henry
Acevedo' and added 'Δοκιμή' as picked from bug 23589. Only to check no
regressions.
4. Enable the 'UseDischarge' syspref
5. Go to Henry's detail page
6. Choose More > Discharge and Generate the discharge
=> SUCCESS:
- Style is applied to the PDF
- Greek characters are displayed correctly
7. Run the tests:
$ kshell
k$ prove -v t/db_dependent/Patron/Borrower_Discharge.t
=> SUCCESS: The rewritten tests pass!
8. Remove weasyprint:
$ apt remove weasyprint
9. Repeat 7
=> SUCCESS: Tests pass, relevant test is skipped because of missing
weasyprint

SendPasswordRecoveryEmail relies on the calling script to tell if there is an
existing valid recovery already. If there's an expired recovery-entry the
members/notices.pl script will try to create a new entry resulting in a duplicate
key error.
This patch fixes the bug by removing the need for the calling script to do the check as
since SendPasswordRecoveryEmail does the same thing anyway.
SendPasswordRecoveryEmail will now use DBIx ->update_or_create instead of looking at
the $update param to determine if it should update an existing entry or create a new.
The update param is removed from all calling scripts and test are updated.
To test:
1. Generate a password recovery mail for a patron
2. Let it expire.
3. Generate a new password recovery from staff to the same patron - Fail!
4: Apply patch
5. Generate a new password recovery from staff to the same patron - Success!
6. Opac password recovery flow should also work.
7. Tests pass.

The new syspref is a deny-list. So not being part of the list means you
are allowed. This was not that clear reading the code, so this patch
tries to simplify the logic. Better handling on undef syspref value is
added as well to avoid useless warnings.
This patch does the following changes:
- Uses `any` instead of `grep`. This has the effect of just returning a
boolean on the first match, instead of keep looping until de array

This patch adds the ability to define password_expiry_days for a patron
category.
When defined a patron's password will expire after X days and they will
be required to reset their password. If OPAC resets are enabled for the
catgeory they may do so on their own, otherwise they will need to
contact the library

On bug 17591 we discovered that there was something weird going on with
the way we export and use subroutines/modules.
This patch tries to standardize our EXPORT to use EXPORT_OK only.
That way we will need to explicitely define the subroutine we want to
use from a module.
This patch is a squashed version of:
Bug 17600: After export.pl
Bug 17600: After perlimport
Bug 17600: Manual changes
Bug 17600: Other manual changes after second perlimports run
Bug 17600: Fix tests
And a lot of other manual changes.
export.pl is a dirty script that can be found on bug 17600.
"perlimport" is:
git clone https://github.com/oalders/App-perlimports.git
cd App-perlimports/
cpanm --installdeps .
export PERL5LIB="$PERL5LIB:/kohadevbox/koha/App-perlimports/lib"
find . \( -name "*.pl" -o -name "*.pm" \) -exec perl App-perlimports/script/perlimports --inplace-edit --no-preserve-unused --filename {} \;
The ideas of this patch are to:
* use EXPORT_OK instead of EXPORT
* perltidy the EXPORT_OK list
* remove '&' before the subroutine names
* remove some uneeded use statements
* explicitely import the subroutines we need within the controllers or
modules
Note that the private subroutines (starting with _) should not be
exported (and not used from outside of the module except from tests).
EXPORT vs EXPORT_OK (from
https://www.thegeekstuff.com/2010/06/perl-exporter-examples/)
"""
Export allows to export the functions and variables of modules to user’s namespace using the standard import method. This way, we don’t need to create the objects for the modules to access it’s members.
@EXPORT and @EXPORT_OK are the two main variables used during export operation.
@EXPORT contains list of symbols (subroutines and variables) of the module to be exported into the caller namespace.
@EXPORT_OK does export of symbols on demand basis.
"""
If this patch caused a conflict with a patch you wrote prior to its
push:
* Make sure you are not reintroducing a "use" statement that has been
removed
* "$subroutine" is not exported by the C4::$MODULE module
means that you need to add the subroutine to the @EXPORT_OK list
* Bareword "$subroutine" not allowed while "strict subs"
means that you didn't imported the subroutine from the module:
- use $MODULE qw( $subroutine list );
You can also use the fully qualified namespace: C4::$MODULE::$subroutine

Adding only a few (trivial) cases now. Changes in C4::Letters
are not trivial after all..

When borrowerRelationship is empty in system preferences, Relationship
dropdown is not required and we accept empty value.
Also fixes bug that didn't let you to pick empty value even when you
specified that it should be possible in system preferences but in the
end of the string (i.e. "|father|mother" worked,
but "father|mother|" don't).
To reproduce (borrowerRelationship can be empty):
1) Go to system preferences and make borrowerRelationship empty.
2) Create a new patron who is assumed to have a guarantor or modify
the existing one.
3) Under "Guarantor Information" click on "Search to add" button.
After performing the search, select a user to act as guarantor. Try to save your changes.
4) Observe that relationship field is required in order to save but
you can't actually choose anything as it doesn't contain anything.
5) Apply the patch.
6) Repeat steps above.
7) Observe that it allows you to save the form now.
To reproduce (can't choose empty value bug):
1) Go to system preferences and set borrowerRelationship exactly
to "father|mother|".
2) Create a new patron who is assumed to have a guarantor or modify
the existing one.
3) Under "Guarantor Information" click on "Search to add" button.
After performing the search, select a user to act as guarantor.
4) Observe that there's no option to leave relationship field empty.
5) Apply the patch.
6) Repeat steps above.
7) Observe that it has empty option that you can choose and save

API. As they have an ID, and they will generally be used on the
/patrons umbrella, I removed the borrowernumber on the mapping.
Another option would be to add the field, but make it optional. It
really feels redundant, so I take it out for now.

This patch add the ability to modify the attribute "repeatable" and
"unique_id" for a patron's attribute type.
Prior to this patch it was not possible, to keep data integrity.
When editing an attr type, the controller will check is the value can be
modified, depending on the existing patron's attributes.
Test plan:
0/ Setup
Create 1 patron attribute PA1 that can be repeatable
Create 1 patron attribute PA2 that does not have the unique restriction
Create 1 patron attribute PA3 that cannot be repeatable and does not
have the unique restriction
1/
Edit them and confirm that you can modify the repeatable and unique
restrictions
2/ Restore values from 0.
Create a patron P1 with several PA1, PA2=42 and whatever in PA3
3/ Edit PA1 => you cannot remove the repeatable flag but can still
remove the unique
4/ Create a patron P2 with PA2=42
5/ Edit PA2 => you cannot add the unique flag
Play a bit more with the different combinaisons and confirm that it
works as advertised.

This patch adds the capability to override minPasswordLenth and RequireStrongPassword settings by category
To test:
1. koha-shell kohadev
2. koha-mysql kohadev
3. drop database koha_kohadev;
4. create database koha_kohadev;
5. go to admin page and start webinstaller. There continue the steps until onboarding.
6. reach step 3 of onboarding and create a new administrator patron
CHECH => Password control woks as normal (Minimum length 3 and strong required)
7. finish Koha installation and enter admin with your new administrator
8. set minPasswordLength to 3 and RequireStrongPassword to “Don’t require”
9. Create a new category (CAT2 from now on.. CAT1 is the category you made in onboarding process) and set minimum password length to 8 and require strong password
10. Create two new patrons, one with CAT1(patron1) and one with CAT2 (patron2)
CHECK => In both cases, try different combinations of length and strength. For patron1 the only requirement is to have 3 letters, but for patron2 the minimum length will be 8 and will require strong password.
CHECK => Try changing patron category before saving. Password requirements will change with category change.
11. Edit CAT1 and set minimum password length to 5
12. Go to patron1 details page, and change password.
CHECH => Now password minimum length is 5, but still it doesn’t require strong password
13. Edit CAT1, leave blank minimum password length and set require strong password to yes.
14. Go to patron1 details page, and change password.
CHECH => Password minimum length is back to 3, but now strong password is required
15. Set minimum password length in CAT2 to 12.
16. Go to patron2 details page, and click to fill a random generated password
CHECK => generated password should be 12 characters length
17. Set PatronSelfRegistration to Allow in admin settings
18. Go to OPAC and fill self registration from.
CHECK => Play with patron category. For each change in category, password requirements are modified.
CHECK => Set CAT1 as patron category, set ‘aA1’ as password (or another valid password for CAT1) and before hitting submit button, change to CAT2. Form should enter invalid state, and CAT2 password requirements should be displayed as error in password input.
19. Create a patron for CAT1 and another for CAT2, leaving password blank
CHECK => For CAT1’s patron, generated password length is 8 (minimum length for generated passwords), but for CAT2’s patron should be 12
20. In admin set PatronSelfRegistrationVerifyByEmail to require
21. Fill self registration form again with CAT2 as category
CHECK => Password requirements works as previous case.
22. Leave password blank and click submit
23. select * from message_queue;
24. Copy the link in the message and paste it in OPAC
CHECH => Generated password is 12 characters long. (Copy user id for next steps)
25. In admin set OpacResetPassword to Allow
26. Go back to OPAC, reload and click on “Forgot password?” link
27. Paste user id and click submit
28. Repeat steps 23 and 24
CHECK => Info message says “Your password must contain at least 12 characters, including UPPERCASE, lowercase and numbers.”
CHECK => enter an invalid password and you’ll get the same message in warning.
29. Login OPAC with the last user and your newly created password
30. Go to “Change your password” option
CHECK => Info message says “Your password must contain at least 12 characters, including UPPERCASE, lowercase and numbers.”
CHECK => enter an invalid password and you’ll get the same message in below “New password” input.

We should use Koha::DateUtils instead of Date::Time directly
This patch simplay replaces calls to now() with a call to dt_from_string()
which does effectively the same thing.
Probably reading the code and verifying changes is sufficient but...
To test:
1 - confirm the files all compile
2 - confirm all tests pass
3 - confirm Koha still works

There was a mismatch between "value" and "attribute". Before this
patchset, "value" was sometimes used, but then it comes "attribute" to
match the DB column's name.
We must keep both here, when an upgrade is done we could have "value"
that is still in the borrower_modifications.extended_attributes JSON
