Tests pass without that changes. If we need them they should be at
Koha::Object anyway.
About the date, I also think that that should be moved to Koha::Object
(we can guess it, like we do in Koha::Object->store, retrieve the
datatype and adjust). Also we can send a DT object to DBIC, no need for
an sql formatted date

When you create a new patron, its relationship field is populated with
an empty string when we are expecting NULL.
Otherwise the about page will display a warning about a missing/wrong
relationship in data (that is not in the syspref)
Test plan:
0/ Do not apply the patches from this bug report
1/ Create a new patron (child)
2/ Notice that relationship column in DB is set to an empty string
3/ Go to the about page, notice the invalid warning about relationship
values not in the syspref
4/ Apply DB changes and tests
5/ Execute the update DB entry
=> The value in DB is now NULL when was ""
6/ Execute the tests
=> It fails
7/ Apply the last patch
8/ Add and edit a patron (child)
=> relationship is set to NULL in DB
9/ Execute the tests

Using both Koha::Plugins and Koha::Plugins::Handler inside the same
class causes issues for runtime module loading which in turn caused all
the plugins tests to fail.
This patch converts this patchset to use the direct call style used
elsewhere in Koha removing the need for Koha::Plugins::Handler.

The main point of this patch is to make it possible to integrate Koha
with the Norwegian national patron database (NNPDB). Code for this was
earlier introduced in Bug 11401 and removed again in Bug 21068.
To test this is mainly a question of spotting regressions, it should
still be possible to set and change a password in all possible ways:
- Setting a password for a new user
- Changing a password in the staff client
- Changing a password in the OPAC
If these work as expected, everything should be OK.
A nice side effect of this work is that it will allow for plugins that
validate passwords. I have created a tiny plugin that enforces PIN
codes of 4 digits. (Yeah, I know, those are the worst passwords, but
some libraries do require them.) It is published here:
https://github.com/Libriotech/koha-plugin-pin
To test this way, install the plugin and try to change the password
of an exsisting user to something that is not a 4 digit PIN. You
should get an error that says "The password was rejected by a plugin".
Signed-off-by: Brendan Gallagher <brendan@bywatersolutions.com>
Updated 2019-10-23:
- Moved the plugin checks to before the call to $self->SUPER::store to
make sure patrons are not saved if the password fails a plugin check
- Made the plugin checks in set_password respect skip_validation while
retaining the functionality for NNPDB

This patch adds a to_api_mapping method to the class. This in effect
enables calling ->to_api on the object. The mapping is borrowed from the
API controller. It is not removed from the controller so we are able to
verify (through the tests) that there is no behavior change.
Once this is pushed we need to implement the counter-wise methods and
clean the controllers.

1. Run:

On Nov 3rd 2019, Brazil will skip from 00:00 to 1:00 (http://www.currenttimeonline.com/dst/dst.do?tz=America/Sao_Paulo), DateTime consider it as an invalid date.
It is a problem when we are playing with dates without the time part (always 00:00).
When we instantiate a DateTime (from dt_from_string) we are already handling this issue, and use the floating timezone (since bug 12669).
The problem remains when we generate a DateTime then add or subtract a duration, which will result in an invalid date:
DateTime->new(year => 2019, month => 12, day => 3, time_zone => 'America/Sao_Paulo')->subtract(days => 30);
=> Nov 3rd 2019, kaboom.
We should replace all the problematic occurrences of dt_from_string->subtract (or ->add)
with dt_from_string(undef, undef, 'floating'), to use the floating timezone and avoid the error.
Actually there are not many of them, I have found only 3 that could
produce real problems.
The other occurrences are:
- in tests => Not a big deal (for now)
- called on a datetime, so it will explode if called at midnight
00:00:00 (and nobody should work at that time).
Test plan:
0/ Define the timezone to 'America/Sao_Paulo' (in your koha-conf.xml file), restart_all
1/ Set a patron's expiry date to Dec 3rd 2019, and
NotifyBorrowerDeparture to 30 (default value)
2/ See the checkouts page for this user
=> Without this patch you get "Invalid local time for date in time zone:
America/Sao_Paulo"
=> With this patch apply the page displays correctly
QA will review the 2 other occurrences.

Currently deleting a patron deletes all their holds and leaves
no record to the "old_reserves" table.
Steps to reproduce:
- Create a patron
- Add holds for patron
- Holds are recorded to "reserves" table
- Delete patron
- Confirm delete
=>Patron and all holds are deleted and no record of holds is
left in "old_reserves" table
This patch displays alert text notifying user that deleting patron
cancels all their holds. Holds are cancelled instead of deleting them.
This patch also writes stringified datetime to holds cancel log instead
of whole datetime object.
To test:
- Apply this patch
- Create a patron
- Add holds for patron
- Holds are recorded to "reserves" table
- Delete patron
- Alert text of holds is displayed
- Confirm patron delete
=> Patron is deleted, their holds are cancelled and moved to

A series of ternaries were introduced when we moved to add_debit which
defaulted to 'user 0' should a userenv not be set. This was incorrect
