This change filters the values from the OpacHiddenItems syspref
out of their corresponding search results facets.
Note: This does not mean that all values from hidden items are filtered out of facets.
Rather, it just means that facet data that matches OpacHiddenItems is filtered out. This is
an imperfect fix, but it is a practical fix that has been requested by more than one library.
Test plan:
0. Apply the patch and koha-plack --restart kohadev
1. Go to http://localhost:8081/cgi-bin/koha/catalogue/detail.pl?biblionumber=29
2. Add an item with an item type of "Maps"
3. Go to http://localhost:8081/cgi-bin/koha/admin/preferences.pl?op=search&searchfield=OpacHiddenItems
4. Fill in OpacHiddenItems with the following:
itype: ['MP']
5. Go to http://localhost:8080/cgi-bin/koha/opac-search.pl?idx=&q=test&weight_search=1
6. Note that "Maps" does not appear in the "Item types" facet
7. Go to http://localhost:8081/cgi-bin/koha/catalogue/search.pl?q=test
8. Note that "Maps" does appear in the "Item types" facet
9. ***Repeat this test plan using both Elasticsearch and Zebra indexing***
10. prove -v t/Koha/SearchEngine/Search.t

We noticed that several characters will break Zebra queries. So search
terms need to be quoted for things to work. In this context, double
quotes inside search terms are problematic because double quotes are
what we use for quoting strings.
This patch makes the clean_search_term method escape double quotes.
To test:
1. Apply the unit tests patch
2. Run:
$ kshell
k$ prove t/Koha/SearchEngine/Zebra/QueryBuilder.t
=> FAIL: It doesn't work as it should!
3. Apply this patch
4. Repeat 2
=> SUCCESS: It does the job!

On bug 17591 we discovered that there was something weird going on with
the way we export and use subroutines/modules.
This patch tries to standardize our EXPORT to use EXPORT_OK only.
That way we will need to explicitely define the subroutine we want to
use from a module.
This patch is a squashed version of:
Bug 17600: After export.pl
Bug 17600: After perlimport
Bug 17600: Manual changes
Bug 17600: Other manual changes after second perlimports run
Bug 17600: Fix tests
And a lot of other manual changes.
export.pl is a dirty script that can be found on bug 17600.
"perlimport" is:
git clone https://github.com/oalders/App-perlimports.git
cd App-perlimports/
cpanm --installdeps .
export PERL5LIB="$PERL5LIB:/kohadevbox/koha/App-perlimports/lib"
find . \( -name "*.pl" -o -name "*.pm" \) -exec perl App-perlimports/script/perlimports --inplace-edit --no-preserve-unused --filename {} \;
The ideas of this patch are to:
* use EXPORT_OK instead of EXPORT
* perltidy the EXPORT_OK list
* remove '&' before the subroutine names
* remove some uneeded use statements
* explicitely import the subroutines we need within the controllers or
modules
Note that the private subroutines (starting with _) should not be
exported (and not used from outside of the module except from tests).
EXPORT vs EXPORT_OK (from
https://www.thegeekstuff.com/2010/06/perl-exporter-examples/)
"""
Export allows to export the functions and variables of modules to user’s namespace using the standard import method. This way, we don’t need to create the objects for the modules to access it’s members.
@EXPORT and @EXPORT_OK are the two main variables used during export operation.
@EXPORT contains list of symbols (subroutines and variables) of the module to be exported into the caller namespace.
@EXPORT_OK does export of symbols on demand basis.
"""
If this patch caused a conflict with a patch you wrote prior to its
push:
* Make sure you are not reintroducing a "use" statement that has been
removed
* "$subroutine" is not exported by the C4::$MODULE module
means that you need to add the subroutine to the @EXPORT_OK list
* Bareword "$subroutine" not allowed while "strict subs"
means that you didn't imported the subroutine from the module:
- use $MODULE qw( $subroutine list );
You can also use the fully qualified namespace: C4::$MODULE::$subroutine

When batch editing, 2 reindex calls are sent to ES/Zebra.
We can easily avoid that reusing the skip_modzebra_update (renamed skip_record_index)
Additionally we should only send one request for biblio, and we should
only do it if we succeed
As the whole batch mod is in a transaction it is possible to fail in which case
Zebra queue is reset, but ES indexes have already been set
In addition to the skip param this patchset moves Zebra and Elasticsearch calls to
Indexer modules and introduces a generic Koha::SearchEngine::Indexer so that we don't
need to check the engine when calling for index
The new index_records routine takes an array so that we can reduce the calls to
the ES server.
The index_records routine for Zebra loops over ModZebra to avoid affecting current behaviour
Test plan:
General tests, under both search engines:
1 - Add a biblio and confirm it is searchable
2 - Edit the biblio and confirm changes are searchable
3 - Add an item, confirm it is searchable
4 - Delete an item, confirm it is not searchable
5 - Delete a biblio, confirm it is not searchable
6 - Add an authority and confirm it is searchable
7 - Delete an authority and confirm it is not searchable
Batch mod tests, under both search engines
1 - Have a bib with several items, none marked 'not for loan'
2 - Do a staff search that returns this biblio
3 - Items show as available
4 - Click on title to go to details page
5 - Edit->Item in a batch
6 - Set the not for loan status for all items
7 - Repeat your search
8 - Items show as not for loan
9 - Test batch deleting items
a - Test with a list of items, not deleting bibs
b - Test with a list of items, deleting bibs if no items remain where all items are only item on a biblio:
SELECT MAX(barcode) FROM items GROUP BY biblionumber HAVING COUNT(barcode) IN (1)
c - Test with a list of items, deleting bibs if no items remain where some items are the only item on a biblio:
SELECT MAX(barcode) FROM items GROUP BY biblionumber HAVING COUNT(barcode) IN (1,2)
10 - Confirm records are update/deleted as appropriate

Also optimize it so it's actually usable.
Test plan:
1. To test it properly you need biblio and authority data. You might get away with enabling AutoCreateAuthorities and BiblioAddsAuthorities so that authorities are created in the process. Another option would be to import authorities first e.g. from LoC.
2. Make sure the authority index has been properly created with "misc/search_tools/rebuild_elastic_search.pl -a -d"
3. Run "misc/link_bibs_to_authorities.pl -v -l" twice and observe the results.

This avoid hardcoding '10000' in two different places and allow users to
adjust this setting.
Also, this patch fixes a bug when the search return less than 10000
results
Test plan:
1. Do a search that returns 10000+ records.
2. Note the warning above the pagination buttons
3. Go to the last page, no error
4. Change the ES setting:
curl -XPUT http://elasticsearch/koha_master_biblios/_settings -d \
'{"index": {"max_result_window": 20000}}'
5. Do another search that returns more than 10000 but less than 20000
6. Note that the warning does not show up
7. Go to the last page, still no error

I dug into this a little bit, it seems the issue is that we were double
processing the query because of an extra call to
C4::AuthoritiesMarc::SearchAuthorities
I think we can simply remove this call
To test:
1 - Perform an authority search for a value that returns results
2 - Wrap it in quotes and search
3 - 'Internal server error'
4 - Apply patch
5 - Search with quotes succeeds

When we will replace the Zebra code in sub merge, we will call SearchEngine
to pass records and we need a routine to extract a biblionumber from
a search result record. A record from Zebra still must be converted to
MARC::Record. This is no longer needed for a ElasticSearch record.

When Zebra is defined as the search engine, the authority search is
broken (Can't locate object method "simple_search_compat" via package
"Koha::SearchEngine::Zebra::Search" at /home/koha/koha/C4/AuthoritiesMarc.pm line 357.)
simple_search_compat is not defined in
Koha::SearchEngine::Zebra::Search, it should be a wrapper for
C4::Search::SimpleSearch

Since nobody is currently working on the zebra layer introduced by bug
8233, Solr won't never work.
Some code has been introduced in 3.10 to prove several search engines
can cohabit into Koha but no help/fund has been found to go ahead.
It is useless to keep this code and to maintain an ambiguous situation.
I think the indexes configuration page could be restore later if someone
else introduces a new search engine into Koha.
